What am I working on?

Three years after the death of her mother, seventeen-year-old Abby and her father move to a small town to start over. When she loses her mother’s locket, which contains a hidden treasure, the entire town snaps to action to join the search, teaching Abby that her mother’s legacy of love, trust, and generosity are gifts she will always carry.

You guessed it, I am writing a book!

What started as a personal escape from the constant stream of bad news has transformed into a deep, heartfelt journey with a young woman on the verge of adulthood.

These women have a story that needs to be told.

Abby Hughes, Lucy Clutterbuck, and the rest of the women in this story are revealing their lives to me, one layer at a time. The vision for what I thought would be a sweet, feel-good novel has grown beyond anything I imagined at the beginning.

Abby’s story is a study in grief, the power of community, and the importance of roots (and a sense of humor!) when navigating the ups and downs of growing up. She is surrounded by strong women who teach her by example what it looks like to stubbornly hold on to hope even when your heart is breaking. And, of course, there is a little romance thrown in just for fun!

You will laugh, cry, and walk away with a renewed sense of hope. You may also crave chicken fried steak. (You have been warned!)

I can’t wait to share “At the End of Clutterbuck Lane” with you!
