Jeanine Joyner was raised in North Texas and discovered her love for writing in elementary school. In high school, the English teacher her friends said nobody wanted turned out to be her favorite! Ms. Black set Jeanine’s growing love for words aflame and, well, the rest is history.
Over the years, Jeanine has contributed chapters to two books (Adoption Joys: They Expected a Miracle and Hope for the Adoption Journey), published several articles for organizations including The Rabbit Room and Foundling House, written numerous blogs, and is the author of the YA novel, Paper Dolls: Trust Your Instincts, a story that sheds light on the evils of human trafficking in the United States.
Now living in Tennessee, she enjoys gardening, cooking, attempts at art (definitely keeping her day job!), tending her farm animals, and decorating for each season (especially Autumn and Christmas!). She loves sharing her passion for living in freedom as beloved children of God at retreats, camps, and conferences. A mother of five young adults, she sees the struggles and joys of coming of age first hand. As a result, she writes to bring hope and encouragement to women, both young and young-at-heart, and help them live from a deep knowledge of their God-given identity.
Jeanine writes both fiction and nonfiction, often drawing lessons and stories from nature and conversations she hears at coffee shops! She is co-founder of StoryHood: A Community of Women Writers which helps fledgling writers gain the skills and confidence needed to find their voice and tell their story. She also writes regularly (for the more mature crowd) at jeaninejoyner.substack.com.
